At last, Astrid and the full band arrive at the Cátedra, the Ateneo’s auditorium. Shine means “Shine!” It is a statement of intent. A call to SHINE. With their new album, Astrid Jones & The Blue Flaps invite us to shed light on our personal story, on the things that tell us who we are, and to embrace the beauty and strength that emerge from this awareness.
A unique blend of multiple identities that, musically, translates into a combination of rhythms, harmonies and melodies evoking soul, jazz, reggae and African rhythms, all shaped into an elegant and highly personal sound.
