Carmen Vela’s music combines her passion for jazz with the expressive power of the flute and clarinet.

Carmen’s compositions draw on tradition while bringing innovation and dialogue with different styles. All her music can be heard on her two albums, «Camina» and «En continuo».

Throughout her career, Carmen Vela has performed at numerous jazz festivals, including the Madrid International Jazz Festival, Terras sem Sombra in Portugal, the Rome Flamenco Festival, Ellas Crean and FeminaJazz in Madrid, Menorca Jazz Festival, Getxo, EstadiJazz in Huesca, Abierto Jazz in Málaga, Jazz Press in Alicante, Jazz Candás in Asturias, Eleizetan in the Basque Country, among others. She has also shared the stage with renowned musicians and brought her music to iconic venues on the national and international jazz circuit. Both of her albums have been praised for their quality and creativity.

Camina was chosen as Best Jazz Album by Más Músicas, and she was named Best Emerging Jazz Artist 2025 by the Plataforma Jazz España.
