CUBintage is a musical project led by Cuban percussionist and composer Yuvisney Aguilar, focused on Cuban jazz with strong inspiration from Cuban music of the 1950s and 1960s. The group’s name combines the words Cuba and vintage, referring to the elegance and retro style of that golden era, when figures such as Bebo Valdés, Cachao López, and Peruchín created a distinctive and influential Latin sound.
