David Pastor and Adrian Cunningham join forces in this quintet to pay tribute to Miles Davis and John Coltrane on the occasion of the centenary of both musicians’ births. The repertoire focuses on the years when Coltrane was a member of Miles Davis’s groups, bringing back compositions that both musicians played together during that period.

Pastor, one of Spain’s trumpet players with an extensive international career, has worked with figures such as Clark Terry, Pat Metheny, Paquito D’Rivera and Arturo Sandoval. Cunningham, an Australian tenor saxophonist based in New York, has collaborated with musicians such as Wynton Marsalis, Jon Batiste, Chris Potter and Jeff Hamilton.

Together with Pablo Gutiérrez, Toño Miguel and Esteve Pi, they present their take on a repertoire featuring some of the pieces performed by Miles Davis and John Coltrane during a pivotal period in the history of jazz.
