Swedish guitarist Ulf Wakenius, one of the leading figures in European jazz, comes to Café Central with his Organ Trio, accompanied by organist Manrico Seghi and drummer Esteve Pi.

Wakenius gained enormous international recognition during his ten years as the guitarist with the Oscar Peterson Quartet, from 1997 to 2007. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage and studio with some of the great names in jazz, including Ray Brown, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Pat Metheny, and Michael Brecker.

His career as a leader has developed alongside these collaborations, with a discography that reflects his distinctive voice as a guitarist and his ability to move between different jazz traditions.

He now presents a guitar, organ, and drums format, a combination with a long tradition in jazz, in a trio conceived for dialogue, improvisation, and swing.
