The group develops an innovative approach with a distinctive language that integrates global influences, a strong orientation toward improvisation, and deep sonic exploration. Their music creates an intense and immersive experience, marked by tension, nuance, and solid collective interaction, expanding the boundaries of contemporary jazz.
Javier Vercher, born in Madrid in 1978, began his musical training in Gandía and later specialized in jazz. After receiving a scholarship from A.I.E. and Berklee College of Music, he moved to Boston, where he completed his studies in Performance in 2000, specializing in improvisation and contemporary harmony. In 2001 he settled in New York, developing a career as a freelance musician and collaborating with prominent artists, in addition to receiving the “Best New Artist” award at the SGAE Tete Montoliu Jazz Biennial.
He later took part in tours and recordings with Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriguez, and was part of Alejandro Sanz’s international tour. Since returning to Spain in 2010, he has resumed his career as a soloist and collaborated with numerous renowned musicians. His discography includes eleven albums released between 2003 and 2025. In parallel, he has composed music for documentaries and, since 2016, has been a faculty member at Berklee College of Music – Valencia Campus.
