Tony Moreno is a New York-based jazz drummer, composer, and educator. He began studying drums at an early age and trained under the legendary Elvin Jones, while also pursuing his studies at the Manhattan School of Music.

He has built an international career as both a performer and educator, appearing on recordings and in concerts with musicians such as Dave Liebman, Ravi Coltrane, Barry Harris, Paul Bley, Don Cherry, Roswell Rudd, Mal Waldron, Eddie Gómez, Arthur Blythe, Sonny Fortune, Chris Potter, and Richie Beirach, as documented in his official biography and academic profile.

Alongside his performing career, he is an active educator and serves on the faculty of the Jazz Studies program at New York University (NYU). He has also taught at Columbia University and The City College of New York. As a bandleader, he has released several albums, including Short Stories and Ballads Vol. 1.
