At 17 he received the Ferrer Salat scholarship to study at the Conservatori del Liceu, where he trained in jazz and contemporary music and began integrating into the Barcelona scene, playing with groups such as the Albert Bover trio, the Bill McHenry quintet, and the Gonzalo del Val trio, as well as leading his own project “Víctor Carrascosa Firm Roots” with musicians such as Andreu Pitarch, Masa Kamaguchi, Martín Leiton, and David Xirgu. In 2022 he won the Juventudes Musicales de España award, which led him to festivals such as Menorca, Torroella de Montgrí, and Terrassa, and he completed an Erasmus program at the Jazz Campus in Basel, where he studied with Ambrose Akinmusire, Brad Mehldau, Larry Grenadier, and Jorge Rossy. At the end of his studies he received the extraordinary prize for best Liceu student and performed at the Barcelona Jazz Festival.

Later he became a member of the Barcelona Jazz Orchestra, collaborated with guitarist Eliott Knuets with whom he toured Spain and Belgium and recorded with Jorge Rossy on Sol de Sants, and traveled to Washington to perform with a New York rhythm section made up of Jeb Patton, Billy Williams, and Romeir Mendez. In 2025 he was invited as a soloist by the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos, being noted for his contemporary approach and his balance between freshness and depth on the trumpet.
