Lucía Rey is a contemporary jazz pianist and composer recognized as one of the most distinctive voices in the genre in Spain. She has been awarded the National Jazz Prize Plataforma Jazz España 2026–2027 and nominated for Best Jazz Album 2025 by the Academy of Music of Spain for her album Nómadas, as well as receiving nominations at the Premios +Músicas.

She trained at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, the Instituto Superior de Artes de Cuba, the Brooklyn Conservatory, and The Collective in New York, studying with masters such as Barry Harris, Noah Haidu, and Bruce Barth. Her artistic approach blends contemporary jazz, flamenco, Mediterranean influences, classical tradition, and elements of Latin jazz.

She has performed at international festivals and venues such as Jazz Plaza (Havana), Stuttgart Latin Jazz Festival, Sicilian Jazz Festival, Jazz in the Park, Jazzahead, Jazzaldia San Sebastián, the international jazz festivals of Madrid and Getxo, Jazz en la Costa (Granada), the Festival de Jazz Equinoxe (France), and the international jazz festivals of Buenos Aires and Córdoba (Argentina), among others.
